  1. I downloaded the "free" version of WavePad. I had a specific problem during installation of not being to able to connect an input source to the software. I have written on three different occasions requesting help concerning that issue in these forums. I did not expect NCH to provide free technical support for me. It may be a prudent presale action, but that is not the purpose of these forums. However I did not receive a single hint or suggestion from anyone, either from NCH or any members of these forums. It makes me think about the preparedness of the other member though, when my postings were viewed over 300 times, and not a single reply was posted by members either. Today my trial period for WavePad has expired, and the application urges me to purchase and activate the program. I am not accusing NCH with anything, I let them to chose the word they prefer to use to describe their conduct. I would call myself a fool if after this experience I would purchase this software. But I am not calling with names myself either. What I am doing is removing WavePad from my computer, and disregarding any offer (free or otherwise) from NCH in the future. I suggest you do the same. Best regards!
  2. I can't configure WavePad to accept and record input signals. After a long and futile effort to solve it I go to the Technical Editor Support page. It looks like I have my answer right there in the General Support Questions / There is no input signal on recording and nothing is recorded. Exactly right! I follow all the instructions concerning the Windows Audio Controls setup, that is a well documented process. Everything is set up as required by Windows. Three separate methods are shown how to get to the Windows sound setup! But not a single reference where to find the very last step 3. NCH Recording Settings. Access to this WavePad specific item is not publicized! Where can I find the NCH Recording Settings form with its Record tab, to select the proper Recording Device AND Input Channel. I do not know if that solves my problem, but it is nowhere to be found! My microphone is just fine, loud and clear. I can load and play music files, no problem. But I can not get the my Line-2/Mic 2 input of my Soundblaster Audigy Platinum eX card to record. That channel is selected both for Play Control and for Recording Control in the Windows Audio setup mixer. A little advice would be greatly appreciated.
