  1. Wow! this is great, thanks to all of you. which would you buy for a simple but acceptable demo with a single guitar and one voice? Any suggestions for a mic? they are expensive but i know i gotta have one that will put down a clear voice and eliminate as much hum and buzz as possible. My next question is, with wave pad (if i choose to try it again) where in the hell are the directions or user manual? My download always directs me to a forum and that's fine but seems like basic operation should be given. i can put down a track at a time and modify it some but am really shooting blind. thanks again you are all very helpful. Got my first demo going to a record lable in Nashville. Was surprised they'd accept it after only seeing my lyrics and melody. stephen
  2. Thanks, so i guess i need to trash the wave pad and move on to this software you suggest? No problem, gotta do what you gotta do. secondly how do i, what do i, buy to use as a good mic and how can i record two different tracks at the same time with it or can it be done? my guitar has an equalizer on it so i could plug into a separate feed if i knew what equipment to buy. thanks stephen
  3. When i bought this system, wavepad sound editor, i was told i could lay down a track of music and then lay the lyrics over it by listening to the music and recording the lyrics. Basically making two tracks and overlaying them. I can't find any way to do this. I got this for demos (lyrics are what i write and i need to have some way to do this or i have to keep paying a guy to do it for me. it gets expensive) I'm feeling like i was sold the wrong system and it really is getting tiresome. All I really want to do is record some music and then sing the lyrics over it or on a separate track to mix them together. Unhappy RiverCityMusic
