Is there any way to zone in on a specific background sound or voice and bring it to the foreground? Once I take out humming noises from my downloaded file from a digital voice recorder, how do i compressed sounds so I do not have blank spots in between conversation?

yes you need a cable with 2 input ends. not sure what it is called but I made one from 2 sets of headphones and spliced together. plug one into the earphone jack and the other to the line in on your computer. make sure you set record to aux. not sure about background sounds. that is my question i was going to post.
