  1. Hi, I am investigating installing a key phone system such as Nortel's Norstar into my office and using IVM as call attendant, VM, etc..rahter than spending the $1300 on the Nortel voice mail system. What I'm looking to find out is how exactly does the phone system and IVM work together? I undestand that I'll need a telephony card for the PC in addtion to the IVM software, but I'm unclear about wich board to get. I understand CallURL TAPI voice board is recommended, but it looks as though this is an analogue board for an analogue line. The Norstar system that I'm looking at will have 4 lines coming in with up to 16 digital stations and 2 analog drops for use with fax, etc. If I use an analogue card does that mean I have to configure the digital lines to roll over to the analogue line for the card to be able to handle the calls? And if so then I don't think I'll be able to transfer calls in house since the Norstar system is digital and my understanding is that once a call is handed of to an analogue line it is the same as handing the call out of the system. I could be wrong and that's the clarification I'm looking for. The other option is to use a card that handles and digital line, and if that's the case any recommendations or feed back on such a card? Ulitimately, I'm hoping someone will give me a quick over view how to integrate IVM and an office phone system as well as hardware recommendations. Thanks in advance for the help. Greg BTW, whoever helps me with this will have a host when/if they ever decide to come to sunny and warm Orlando Florida
