  1. Robin, Do post back and let us know how the CallURL works out. Thanks, Chris
  2. I've seen no working examples here (especially geared to the programatically challenged)! Even though I do some vba programming in Access That is my goal for my ultimate IVR system. When I ever figure it out, I'll definitely let you know.
  3. You should be able have different OGM's for different CallerID's by "use number ID Validity Checking". Example: if a call came in to your main OGM from say CallerID 2025551212, IVM can automatically route this call to a different OGM. So the caller hears a different greeting message based on the fact that they called from "2025551212" I'd love for IVM to have the same checking & routing options for %CallerName%: Like, if a call came in from "US DEPT OF JUSTICE" which may use multiple ID's like 2025558000 or ...8001 or 8002. Maybe it can. How about it PL? The software is designed to have even more complicated routing schemes but it's very hard for me to understand without having the time to experiment and practice. Read the page "OGM - Date-Time / CID" in the help file further & try to experiment. Chris

    Upgrading IVM

Hi Pete, Never received an email. Did the backup just in case. Installed the new version, UI is nicer & cleaner, but my current license didn't apply. No prob. Just bought a new licence. Thanks for the program. ps. If a new major version is upcoming, I think this time I'll try the upgrade pricing schedule instead of buying another full license. Chris D&R Equipment Co.

    IVM Delay

I'm definitely not an expert, but some of my findings: I've found this problem with some voice modems when I was testing. I believe your problem is specific to the brand of modem, and it's ability to detect DTMF tones. For example, my Modem Blaster DI5631 gives me about a 1.5 second delay before it recognizes that a DTMF tone was received. My generic Gateway modem (GTW v92 Voicemodem) detects these tones instantly. While a Zoom modem (can't remember the model but it was on the recommended list), would not respond for 5 seconds, or not at all. I've purchased 6 inexpensive PCI voice modems during my testing just to see which two worked the best in my machine. Good luck, Chris
  6. Mike, I'm not using 2003 but WindowsXP Pro. This version acts as a RDP server for only one concurrent connection. I've found that on the RDP client, if I change the "Local Resources" - "Computer sound" option to "Do not play" I no longer have the problem you describe. I'm going to investigate Steve's solution (which I like better than mine). I'm not as versed on policies, but I'll soon learn. Chris

    Upgrading IVM

Thanks, will give it a try
  8. This happens to me sometimes when I turn on or off USB devices which may have modem drivers for the device. For example I have a printer which also acts like a modem named "Brother MFC-8840D USB" and also a USB device "Bluetooth Modem". If these devices are not present - sometimes the modem device list gets re-enumerated and the Creative Modem Blaster . . . is in the wrong spot. I think it may be confusing IVM when it starts. Just a thought. Chris

    Upgrading IVM

Hi Guys, I'm a registered user currently using 2.31. If I download 2.41, will it install correctly over 2.31 & maintain my current licensing information? Regards, Chris
  10. Hello Everyone, IVM doesn't seem to append a cr/lf to the end of each line in the special log. For instance, if I create a simple "special log file" using the following variables: %callername%,%cid% after several calls the resulting special log file should look something like this: JOHN SMITH,2025551212 BILL SMITH ,2025551212 JANE SMITH,2025551212 But it really looks like this: JOHN SMITH,2025551212BILL SMITH,2025551212JANE SMITH,2025551212 I've tried inserting special characters <alt>13 or \n or \015 etc. How can IVM append a cr/lf at the end of each individual call? I'm trying to have a call log that is accessable to Microsoft Access or Excel. Thanks, Chris
