  1. I upgraded a functional DialDictate 4.11 version to the latest 4.12 version. That was my only system change. Upon update, DialDictate no longer answers any calls. I've verified that the hardware is setup properly in Telephony, I even removed the 4 existing USB telephony lines and added them back. The DialDictate software program says "Call Answered" but from the calling end the phone rings and rings and the line is never picked up. I've downgraded back down to 4.11 and it picks up the line yet again. I am using the 4 line Synway USB.
  2. I've sent two emails now to Alto Edge describing the problem and asking for help. So far no one has replied to me after several weeks!?! Has anyone here figured out how to modify the DMFT tone sensitivity with the USB modems from this company? So far I'm not terribly impressed with the quality of support on these products.
  3. Thank you. The board I purchased was the 4-line USB board TELCTAUSB4 from Alto Edge (http://www.altoedge.com/telephony/index.html#TELCTAUSB2). This was a recommended board for the Dial Dictate software. I've contacted the Alto Edge support to see how best to resolve the issue as you've suggested. Thanks again for the heads up!
  4. As an example, I was just running a test call into my own system and at 4:14 (even though I did not press any key) the logs registered a keypress of 1. The system went into playback mode in the middle of my dictation test! Any ideas?
  5. I've just installed a new Dial Dictate system to a 4 phone line operation and am trying to move away from an old tape based system over to digital. I have over a dozen existing clients. I am using the SHT-4B/USB modem installed to Windows Vista and Dial Dictate version 4.11. I'm not sure where in the settings I've gone wrong but could really use some help! I've already lost a client to this issue as they were pretty unhappy about the lost data. I have been able to get the basic system working to answer and begin taking dictation but so far cannot use the system as the recording cuts off prematurely. The log files say that keys have been pressed where no keys have been pressed by the client. This happens with multiple clients. Often it results in the call being terminated and the dictation is lost!!!! How can I avoid losing data? Please help! TIA andremorris@cox.net
