  1. Yep. I did check that. I do have the latest (DELL) driver. I also tried chasing down drivers provided by the card manufacturer (Anatel), and the chip manufacturer(Conexant, Now Rockwell), but all to no avail. If anyone ever finds a driver that works. I would love to know.
  2. I search a fair bit, and what I found was that I is not 100%TAPI compliant, I found some "alternate" software would work quite well, but all ran into problems. When testing for compliance/ support I queried using the AT commands. The modem does not support the featires required, in particular the AT#CLS command is not supported The is the diagnostic output from may machine running the lattest driver from dell. If I need to, I will just purchase one of the "supported/known to work modems" as they are not very expensive, and I was spending way to much time on the problem.
