  1. Hi. "kdesu" and "gksu" seem to be directories which need to added to the path along which some needed files can be found. For the best help on this matter, I suggest calling up a Linux guru who can help you add the required directories to your path. Here's a URL which can help: http://www.troubleshooters.com/linux/prepostpath.htm. I suggest following the directions in the section titled "Adding to All Users' Paths (except root)." I'm pretty sure you need to be logged in as root to do that, so it's best to have someone help you with that, unless you're fully comfortable being the root user. For clues on how to find kdesu and gksu, you can try: 1. locate --updatedb 2. locate kdesu 3. locate gksu The locate command will display long strings ending in kdesu and gksu, beginning at the root, which is " / " At the end of your present path, just add a colon " : " no spaces, and then after the colon, add the long path to kdesu and gksu, including the initial slash character.
  2. Hi, Tbarnzee, I'm new to this forum, so I replied to your message and I'm not sure if it was sent. If you got my message saying how to split and work on the files, would you add it as a reply to this message? I also forgot to copy the text before sending. D'oh!
  3. Hi, nchto, I've had this problem going back quite a while. Presently it's happening on a .WMA file created by an Olympus DS-2200. Windows Explorer says the file size is 166,297,326 bytes, it's 342:58 in length and has a bit rate of 64kbps. The one thing in common going back all the versions I've had installed is the time marker when the problem happens: 3:22:54. As soon as I hit that time, then stopping will cause the file to go back to the beginning, even though the slider on the bottom remains where it was, and the time counter still says 3:22 and keeps right on counting up. I have to split these files using Audacity, which so far, doesn't support foot pedals.
