  1. Hi, I am comforted to inform you guys that I solved the reported problem. I too experienced this same problem two days ago. After many retries to export the finished product, I discovered what was causing the issue after reading the above instructions (FIX) posted by Borate. I will now share the fix with you. Borate's FIX was well intentioned, but it fixed the problem... well for one individual it did but they would not know what was the cause of the problem. PROBLEM: I discovered (this is just my theory) that the software has difficulty in rendering, saving as, or exporting, the finished compilation, when it has to search for the various components of audio, video, photos, etc, that were used to compile the product. So especially if you downloaded or transferred a file(s) to your computer's HD and you do not place them together in the appropriate folder, VideoPad tries to search for the components, and follows the threads that traces the file's location. That's where the software gets confused and says on reload that it is unable to locate the listed component files. FIX: VideoPad deposits a Productivity Folder (by Default) into the VIDEO or MOVIES Folder on the computer's HD. I discovered that you should utilize that VidePad Folder and not have components in various folders on the Drive or another connected Drive. ALSO... When you are exporting the finished product, you should allow VideoPad to save it to the software's DEFAULT selected folder... usually that same folder it created. THEN.... after the rendering is completed and the file is saved, you can then move it to wherever you wish. THAT PROCEDURE WORKED FOR ME, AND THE EXPLANATION SEEMS LOGICAL TO ME. Let me know what you think. VideoPad Editor version: 12.11 on MacOS Monterey.
