I was recently given the suggestion from NCH that I should upgrade my VideoPad version. I was dismayed to discover that this was a paid upgrade, with no option to wind back, but one learns from ones mistakes, I suppose. The previous version did pretty much what I wanted in the way of editing and selecting bits of videos: the upgraded version does not work as well. Here's what I am trying to do: download a video from somewhere - I can do that. Import the video into VideoPad - this seems to take ages and scrolling through the video is jerky. Select a part of the video - this is now quite difficult because scrolling through the video is jerky and the frame forward/backward does not always work. Export the selection as a gif for my screensaver - the export does not always start. I'm running Windows 10 on a fairly new gaming PC with 32 Mb of RAM - lots of other games and programs run well on it. I have uninstalled the version and reinstalled it, the re-registered it, but the situation remains dire. If anyone wiser than I am could offer helpful suggestions I shall be very grateful Cheers Ralph
