Oh, I ran into that issue too. What worked for me was shutting down the DVD player, pulling the plug for a couple of minutes, and then plugging it back in. Surprisingly, it did the trick. And don't forget to make sure all the cables between your DVD player and the TV or sound system are snugly connected. Sometimes it's the little things that cause these glitches.
