For Windows Vista users... I would like to see you register the Softphone with the Multimedia Class Scheduler Service to give high application priority to the softphone so that other apps running on Vista cannot interfere with phone calls. This could even be selectable by the user in settings to determine how high a priority to assign to the softphone to alleviate issues.
