Guest Fred Harvey
I have a 9-pin serial interface foot pedal that works with Express Scribe. I purchased a Radio Shack serial-to-USB converter, installed the drivers, and now ostensibly the footpedal should work through the USB port. Problem is, it doesn't. Regardless of which port I select in the Control tab (USB, serial, whatever), the Express Scribe software doesn't recognize that a pedal is attached. Is there some way to enter settings manually that might allow this to work?

I am looking fro the former. A serial port outputing to a convertor to give a usb output.
