Guest Frank
Upon install of ES the defulat location was the C: drive. I was loading several audio files and ran out of room on my c: drive. How can I create an alternate directory on my d: drive?

Guest Len
If you are game you can change the Registry Key inHKLM\Software\NCH Swift Sound\Scribe\Folders then restart Express Scribe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This doesn't seem to work on v4.01 .I found the files (in All Users profile), but I can't find a registry entry naming that folder. It indeed is better to have the data files under a user profile, rather than in the program folder, but it still should be changeable. If I can't move these large files off of the system drive I'll have to go back to v3.21 . Please Help! -LenW

The registry fix does not work, and the files are stored in the All Users profile. Please fix!!
Guest Guest
Hi, me again. I think I have found a possible work around. One can move the Application Data folder where the files are stored. So, this will, in a sense, affect other applications which use this folder, but I don't think it will affect them functionally. Moving the folder to a network drive is probably a bad idea... anyway, you should think it through. Here is the website that describes how to do it: How to move Shell Folders I did it on windows 2000, and it worked perfectly. I just moved the folder to my D: drive (windows took care of the registry entries automagically).
