thats very odd, its almost as if the file never got installed on your computer.

Go into your Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\Switch folder, and see if there is a file in the folder with a .hlp extension.

There is a.hlp file, double-clicking it achieved nothing (no response). I checked in 'Properties'. it said that this file opens with 'Windows Winhelp32 Stub'. I tried changing the opening program: with 'Notepad', got a short page of symbols; tried it with 'WordPad' and got a longer page of symbols.

I am at a loss. ???

what is your Windows version? XP?

a proper un-corrupt version of Windows should not have a problem with this, because the .hlp format is supported with Windows right out of the box. So if it is giving you problems, you may have to find out on Microsoft's website how to correct it, or re-install Windows (if you know how to do that).

.hlp files are not text-based files, so you cannot read them with a text editor.
