Ghitta
Hi there, I've got a new pc and upgraded my license for this pc, however I cannot hear any sound. I have followed all the steps that was offered and no luck yet.: 1. Open WavePad's options and check that the Sound Play Device is correct. - yes it is 2. WavePad has a volume slider on the right-hand side of the bottom edge (in the status bar). Make sure this is turned up. - all the way turned up 3. Try restarting WavePad. - dont that no difference 4. Access Windows' Volume Mixer by right-clicking the speaker icon in the Windows task bar. Check that WavePad's volume here is turned up and it isn't muted. - done that not muted 5. Restart Windows. This probably won't work but if everything else fails then it's worth a shot. - done that no difference 6. Have a cup of tea. - hot chocolate was needed! 7. Come back here and complain that none of it worked. - now I'm complaining Sound works fine on spotify, email, notifications and anything else, just not wavepad. Please advise. elk
In attempt to fix this issue, please try the steps below: Uninstall WavePad, then delete 3 folders named "WavePad" and 1 named "Components" from these locations: **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\WavePad\ **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\WavePad\ **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components **C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\WavePad\ **If you can't find any of the folders, just continue. After that, restart your computer and reinstall the program using this link: https://www.nch.com.au/components/wpsetup.exe Once done, restart your system one more time. You may need to register your program: To register: 1- Open the program. 2- From the top left corner, click the three horizontal lines > "File" menu. 3- From the dropdown menu select "Register software..." 4- Enter your registration code (numbers-letters) and click on Register. 5-If successful, you'll see the "Licensed Software" status at the very top of the window, next to the program's name. Ghitta
Hi there, Elk, Thank you for your response. I've just tried this but to no avail. I was able to find this: **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\WavePad\ but none of the rest. Restarted pc and still nothing. It is showing that it is picking up the sounds, but just not playing through my speakers. Don't know what to do anymore and NCH isn't responding to me either.
