Bar jumps to random location when i select certain clips?

Sometimes when i want to adjust the lenght of a clip in timeline mode, the view just randomly jumps to another part of the video. Say im editing a clip at 1:15. When i click a certain clip my view jumps to 3:30 instead. It makes it completly impossible to work with the lenght and timing of the clip. And it's seemingly any clip at any given time. In this scenario its a single clip, when all other clips don't do this, and i have no idea why it does it.
