I can't figure out how to make the hotkeys work. Can someone please confirm ExpressScribe (free download for Mac) works on MacOs High Sierra 10.13.1? Thank you!

Is there a way I can prevent individual built-in hotkey settings from working? I normally use Cmd-[right arrow] and Cmd-[left arrow] to jump to the end or beginning of whatever line of text I am typing (eg in MS Word). But if I do this in the transcription notes window of Express Scribe Mac, it moves the current position pointer in the audio to the end or beginning, losing my place. I tried creating new key combinations for jumping to the end or beginning of the audio in the Preferences, which work fine, but they don't prevent the built-in hotkey settings from doing the same. I am using the latest version of the software under MacOs Mojave. Thanks

Hi, Have been using express scribe and recently just got a new laptop. Downloaded it today on my new laptop but the hot keys are being slow, for instance taking a while to play/ rewind. Also the audio is jumping forward instead of backward when rewinding and also does this when I press play sometimes... sometimes when I press play it plays, but the first few seconds of audio are silent and then the audio comes back? Didn’t have this problem on my old laptop and it worked perfectly... if there’s anything I can do please help!

I use El Capitan on a MacBook Pro with the larger Mac wired keyboard (the one with the full number pad). This is specifically to use the number pad as hotkeys. Note that if you upgrade to any version later than 5.77, these number pad hot keys will stop working. Your only solution would seem to be to downgrade back to 5.77 or earlier. Also, surprisingly, punching your keyboard till your hands are bloody, does not rectify the issue. A friendly reminder to always keep backup installer files handy. -
Hi, I'm finally getting a hang of VideoPad, but i have a few queries and i'm sure once identified this will be THE SOFTWARE for me I'm looking for a way to change the timeline display to "frames" instead of the default "time" display. I could not find the hotkeys to move frame by frame on the timeline, is there a way to do so or to change/set hotkeys? It's quite straight forward getting to export the videos, but i couldn't find a way to export Uncompressed videos. Can this be done in the home edition, if not is it available in the Masters edition? It's not clear to me what are all feature available in the Masters edition... all that is mentioned on the site is this: "The "Master's Edition" registration has all features - unlimited audio tracks and plugins. You can use a single installation of VideoPad (on a single computer) without restrictions." Thanks in advance, HarryG.
