Is there any way to default to using the system clock? I get the same error message from my USB webcam recordings, and it would be nice to be able to turn this error message off.

I would like to set these default recording options (e.g. format, exposure time, etc) for my USB camera as well as well - is there any way to do this from the comman line, or otherwise, to prevent resetting every time I plug the camera in?
