debi
This is the strangest thing. Foot pedal was working when I logged off night before. Opened Express Scribe, pressed Fwd on pedal and got nothing. Pressed Fwd again worked and then stopped. That was the last audio I received using the footpedal. Hot keys work fine. Pressed ExpressScribe settings and was told to load foot pedal wizard. Tried to load foot pedal wizard and was told Com 1/game port not configured. Checked all device settings, could find nothing amiss, all working correctly. Tried to reload foot pedal wizard and now have no response at all when clicking this option. I have removed old express scribe software and reloaded the newest version. To get my work done I have been using the hot keys (now I SO appreciate my foot pedal). I am running Windows XP and have been using the same setup since 2004. Has anyone else encountered this. Is there anyway to test to see if the footpedal is working or not. Hate to order a new foot pedal only to find that is not the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Debi

If you're using VPE USB pedals then this page tells you how to test your pedals using Windows' Control Panel: http://www.nch.com.au/hardware/setup/pedals.html#VPEUSB Also, please make sure you're using Scribe v4.22 or later, as there was recently a VPE USB pedal bug fix: http://www.nch.com.au/scribe/versions.html
