New to all this and looking for help...

greetings all,

 

i'm new to the whole sound/audio editing world, and have a difficult task that i need to deal with. i need to remove the vocals from a song, hopefully, without damaging the music itself. unfortunately, i read one topic on here already that said removing vocals completely is near to impossible:(

 

even if WavePad can't remove them completely, can it still remove vocals enough so that, when you listen to a song, you can't really notice the singer(s) at all?

 

if not, does anyone know of a different program that would be better suited for this kind of work?
