Oddball... Edited File Works in Winamp but not Media Player

Hi guys,

 

I have a bit of an odd problem. I edited a song, originally 4:49min in length, to one about 2:48min in length. Original file size was 6.62Mb, edited version 2.28Mb.

 

However, when my mouseover on the edited title pops up, it still says 4:49min, and 2.28Mb. In other words, file size is correct, song length is incorrect and still reflective of the original.

 

The new version plays fine in Winamp. With all the changes, it plays for 2:48min.

 

In Windows Media Player, it plays the full original 4:49min, with no changes!

 

What could be the problem here?

PS: The other songs edited in the same session work on both Winamp and Windows Media Player.
