TonyMcS
When pausing a playing file, if the cursor is in an audio area (rather than silence) I get a continuous burst of noise. Is this by design? It certainly is annoying while using headphones. I've worked around it by setting the space bar to stop and using that instead. Any chance of the audio going off when you pause? Otherwise a great little editor.

To quote the Help file... To find accurate edit positions with your ears press the space bar to activate Scrub. This allows much more fine movement (with the arrow keys) while listening to the point you want to edit. WavePad doesn't seem to have a Pause button per-se, what you activated (by hitting the admittedly confusing "Pause Symbol") was Scrub, which is meant to perpetuate audio output. Effectively, as you discovered, since the 'Stop' button doesn't reset to the beginning of the file, it is more accurately described as the Pause button. Common Linguistic Semantics and programmers never did mix well.
