robertjm
Hi all, I've got some Mp3 files that are MPEG-2.5 encoded as 16kbps bitrate. As a result neither my brand new Sony Walkman, nor my 1st iPod Nano can play them. Was looking for a way of converting them to MPEG-2 and found your program!! It works great EXCEPT none of the tag information is carrying over to the converted file. The files have ID3 tag information to begin with. Using Switch v1.31 for Windows. Machine is a Windows Vista Home Premium O/S. Encoder settings: output format .mp3 Constant Bitrate Bitrate: 24kbps High Quality chedkmarked Channels: Joint Include CRC to Detect Errors NOT checkmarked At this point I highlight the file(s) I'm converting and click the CONVERT button Once conversion is completed a green checkmark appears in front of converted file(s). When I examine the converted file, all the tags are blank, but it is converted to the specified bitrate. Did I do something wrong, or is this a bug? Thanks, Robert
Guest nchgb
It may be that the tag information is handled differently with MPEG-2.5 files, we make no claims that we're able to copy tag information from this particular file type. I'll pass your suggestion on to the developers to look into however.
