HugoER
I just updated to Windows Vista and updated to the latest version of WavePad. Everything seems to be working OK, but... When I speed up MP3 files with Speed Change, the files speed up OK, but WavePad seems to be trying to maintain the same play length by inserting silence at the end. In other words, if I have a 30 min file, speed it up by 300%, the result is a compressed 10 min file, with 20 min silence at the end. Earlier versions didn't do that. Anyone have a fix? Guest nchgb
The next version of WavePad should fix this problem. In the mean time, you can simply use the auto-trim feature to remove the silence.

The Auto Trim feature often cuts trims a little too much.
