srad Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 I downloaded the trial free version of the Sound Converter, tested the conversion from wave to Mp3. It worked fine, however, the lame version installed was version 3.82. The latest stable version is 3.97 with 3.98 beta 5 in the works. How can I upgrade the installed 3.82 to lame 3.97.? Most other conversion software allows routine codec upgrade at will by simply adding the new lame version to the software directory. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest nchgb Posted February 9, 2008 Share Posted February 9, 2008 Have a look in: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\Components\mp3el\ Simply replace the .exe in there with the latest version of Lame. This used to work, but I haven't tried it for more recent versions. Don't forget to also change the filename of the Lame executable. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
