drewsbrew
Hi, I'm trying to copy cassettes to mp3 via line-in on the soundcard. When I copy the cassette onto my computer everything sounds great. Files play fine on Wave pad and Windows Media Player. When I transfer that file to another computer the file plays slow and sounds awful. Have tried both mp3 and wav files. I have used 2 different cassette decks and tried to play files on 2 different computers. I also get the same results using Audacity. Any help would be great. Cheers! roberthickling
That's pretty bizarre. I use both Audacity and WavePad and have never noticed a speed issue. I record from both vinyls and tapes. I used to record from my line-in port, but then I got a little amplifier from ARTCessories so I could have a 24 bit A/D converter. And it then feeds into my computer as a USB sound card. Neither lash-up exhibited the speed issue you described. I am even having trouble hypothesizing a way to get the behavior you are having. How about a little lengthier description of the process you use. Maybe there is a clue somewhere along the way. Guest nchda
It could be due to a strange codec on you computer that is causing weird results Try downloading the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite..._Codec_Pack.htm
