Chris R
I have a midi .mid file that I need to convert to mp3. When running Switch appears to work, time passes, the progress bar moves, and a file is produced of reasonable size and correct duration, however there is no sound in the resulting MP3 file. I have several other .mid files which work fine, and I have tried .wav and other formats with the same result - silent output. I have even tried playing the .mid file from within Switch and .... silence. It would appeat that there is something incompatible with the original .mid file, (it play OK in windows media player) any ideas on what may be wrong ? Guest nchto
Midi conversion with Switch is still in its early development, and as you have noticed it doesn't work for all midi files (simply due to the massive range and varying compatibility of the format). If you desperately need the file converted, you could play it through your media player and then use SoundTap to record the resulting audio.
