Meteora
I'm trying to convert cda files to mp3. When I click convert, the progress bar flashes for about a tenth of a second and nothing else happens - the files do not convert. Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks

musikone
Copied them from an audio CD, as I've done many times previously. =========================== Try this little set of suggestions: (1) Put that audio CD in your disc drive. (2) Open up "my computer" and, if you have to, click on this disc drive. If you don't have to, a list of the cda files on the disc will appear. (3) When you do this, you will now have a list of the cda files on this drive. (4) Open Switch. (5) Select the list of cda files and drag them to the Switch window. This list will now appear in the Switch window. Warning: Don't you _dare_ remove that disc from the drive! (6) Choose the hard drive location to store the mp3 files. (7) In Switch "Encoder Options," select the mp3 option and set the desired attributes. (8) NOW (and not before) click on the "convert" button. (9) Now go eat your dinner. (10) After dessert, go to the selected output folder and check out your .mp3 files, each with its own track number. Note: NOW you can take that audio disc out of the disc drive. (11) If this doesn't work, come back here and tell me about it Or ask someone else here who knows more about this than I do. Musikone
