davemclane
When I use WavePad to convert from WHM to MP3 the file size doubles. I thought MP3 would be more compressed and thus smaller. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Guest nchto
Try playing around with the bitrate of the mp3 file. If you lower this the filesize will be reduced, but the quality will also be slightly reduced. It really depends on what kind of audio you're working with. Also play around with the other options offered on the encoding window. Have a search of this forum/google if you need very specific info on what each does. I lowed the bit rate and got good-enough sound at a reasonable file size.
