Scorchgd
Even the most basic word processor has a "find word" function. Something a little more advanced will have "find phrase" or "find string" and can even have variables to "find similar". A word processor can do it, a spread sheet can do it, a mail client can do it, a search engine can CERTAINLY do it. But now I am trying to figure out if wavepad can do it. Can wavepad be used to "find similar" (and highlight/select) specific waveforms? If I have 10 minute song that contains a repeated; off key note created by an unwanted bell which is displayed as a unique waveform of specific length, can wavepad NOT find these notes throughout the file? If it can; how do I utilize this function to find and replace or find and delete annoying bells or clicks? If it can't; then what wave editor can? Please reply. Thank you. Scorch. Guest nchto
In WavePad, open the file select the offending section of audio. Then select Effects -> Grab Noise Sample from Selected Area. Now try running Effects -> Apply Spectral Subtraction Based on Noise Sample.
