WMA to MP3 ID3 tags

As a newb to NCH software, but recognizing the quality for what it is, I'm in the mood to test the software. However, I have a couple of concerns*, such as:

1) Does it copy all of the ID3 tags from one song to the next? What about updating for missing information as availble?

2) Do I need to install any other codecs, or is everything included?

3) I saw something about network drives being an issue, is this true, or only in limited form? My HD is already cramped enough, and most of my mu-zac is stored on the network, so if I need to move it over to the HD for the duration of re-ripping, I'll need to plan ahead.

4) What sort of temporary file space do I need?

5) Does the software only work out of one directory at a time, or can I use it from the root of my current directory tree, which looks like this? (only folders listed, if I were to show the files as well, you get the idea) **

6) And of course, this is a stupid question, but one I feel needs to be answered . . . will the songs still play on any of the major distributions of Linux with the appropriate standard codec, or does a particular codec need to be used? For instance, if I were to use, say xmmc, would I need anything more than the mpg123 lib?

6b) Better question, as I was typing that, this came to mind: Does Switch support Ogg Vorbis encoding with ID3 style tag transplanting?
