jos
I was looking for a nice Wav>Mp3 converter. Switch seems to be a good one.Problem is opening a normal mpeg-file he ask for downloading a Switch install-on-demand. What is this and why? Switch has nothing to do with mpeg-files? So doubleclicking the mpeg file normally opens Windows mediaplayer, but now switch overrules this. Not nice. Please can you help..... message after doubleclick the mpeg: "An install-on-demand is required for this operation". I don't like this. What can I do? Guest nchto
Switch is attempting to download and install the MP3 encoder. MP3 stands for MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, they are actually mpeg files. You can get this "mp3el" component manually from www.nch.com.au/components. I don't believe Switch makes itself the default program to open these files, but if this is the case simply open your original media player and use its options to select which formats you want opened in it.
