saratogapete
I recorded a spoken passage directly into WavePad. I'm using an Alesis USB mic. When I play it back in WavePad it sounds wonderful. Crystal clear. A thing of beauty. When I insert the sound clip into PowerPOint 2007 and play it back, there is hiss between the spoken sections and the overall quality of the sound is less than what it should be. Any ideas? Guest nchto
What are you saving the file as? For maximum quality (without a care about the filesize) use a PCM encoded wav file, 44.1kHz, 16-bit. Using a compressed audio format will reduce the quality of the recording.
saratogapete
Thanks for the suggestion. I fiddled around a bit and I ended up using MP3 format which works great. Sounds great in WavePad and great in PPT 2007. I've got to tell you, I really love this product! It is much better than Audacity.
