I have purchased Switch 1.24. I have files that are .cda and .mp4. I am using windows vista as my operating system. Looking under the files that switch can convert, it lists .cda AND .mp4. When I try to convert those files, I get a big red X beside all of the files. What can I do to fix this???

Have you tried converting to another format, such as .wav? It may be that you need to (re)install mp3el available from http://www.nch.com.au/components/. This will allow you to convert to mp3 files. For some people it seems their Vista doesn't like them installing the component, which is completely out of our hands. Some people have had success:

Had same issue. Got it fixed:

Reinstalling the mp3el.exe (direct, NOT within Switch) works IF: You let Vista tell you it is installed (a LIE) then Vista after a bit of delay pops up a window asking if you trust the file, answer yes and you get a pop up that lets you run the thing again as administrator. Then it tells you it is installed and this time it's TRUE. :-| hehehe

Sheesh, Microsoft. But anyway, it now works!
