dhddd
Hello, I have WavePad Master Edition and for years I've been saving wav. files that when I right click I can add them or play them in my real player, but as of recently it seems that the files are being saved with the windows icon prefix and I cannot add them to my real player. When I right click them I can only play them through windows media player. How can I get the saved files to be prefixed w/ the Real icon. Dan. Dan. possibly a silly question: can you right click the file>open with>choose program.then select real player from the list? if you cant do that try this: go into realplayer.choose tools>preferences>media types.then select.scroll down the list until you find WAV and then check the box. then see if the file will play (the WAV file should now have the real player icon).if it isn't,do what i suggested in the first question.if real player is now an option in the list, also check the box 'always open with this program'. remember to 'apply' any options you make. dhddd
Hey Mike, that was easy enough. I hit my default preferences in RealPlayer and everything is back to normal, thanks again. Dan.

Dan. no problem at all. it can be a right pain when certain programs 'over-ride' settings you've previously made regarding file types.
