automatic loading through ftp

the office i work for is just now going digital...i am trying to learn Express Scribe. The office has set me up with a folder on their server. ES has the option of putting in the details so it will automatically look at that folder every 30 minutes or so, and notify me when a new file has been loaded. i should be able to hit the Load Now button and they should automatically load. unfortunately, this is NOT working. i DO connect to a VPN before connecting to ES for security purposes. Could this be the problem? I also test the FTP site through ES and everything checks out. it even lists the wma files that it found, but i cannot load them into ES. Can anybody help me?

Can you try adding the files manually, without using the auto load feature to determine if it's the actual files that is causing the problem, or the auto load feature. Because they are .wma files, it may be that they contain DRM which prevents the loading of these files.
