Reduce Vocals

I want to take the vocals out of a couple songs, but I can't figure how to do it. I found the 'reduce vocals' option under special effects, but it doesnt do anything when I select it. Please help. Thanks

The tools only work on the selected area of the track. Select the area you want to affect and it should work as you expect.

even if you select a portion of the track,the feature 'reduce vocals' doesnt work.

all other effects to work-it's only that one that doesn't.

(i've tried it by selecting part of a vocal,and nothing happens when the special effect is chosen).

The 'reduce vocals' feature only works for CDs which contain the music on one track and the vocals on the other. This is how many production music CDs are distributed.

the vast majority of people using this program will be working with files (mp3's,wma's etc...) already on their computer.so this feature is really,in my opinion,not much use at all.

i have absolutely no cd's in my collection which have vocals on one channel and music on the other channel.
