flac conversion problem on Macintosh

I am trying to convert flac concert files to wav (or anything else). Tried selecting the folder that contains the files as well as selecting the files themselves. I get a message that the files are already in the window which is not the case. I click ok and Switch loads the window with the flac files. I click convert and Switch converts the files but they are all only 1kb. The file in the Switch window all have a red X.

 

Any help?

 

btw, I purchase Switch Pro "as is" thinking this might be the fix. It is not.

just tried converting these files with xACT to no avail. error messages on every file. grrr
