Guest nchto Posted July 13, 2007 Share Posted July 13, 2007 I believe this has previously been covered elsewhere (a quick google should help you). The midi file is not an audio file format at all. It is just a list of musical notes which a synthesizer can play. As such it is impossible to directly convert an audio file to a midi file, you will need to transcribe the mp3 file yourself and then use midi editing software to create the file.
