mp3 to wave encoding question

I'm switchin mp3's to wav files (PCM) for the wife's early cd player in her car and I was wondering which is the best format to use in the encoding secton (what khz,8 bit,16 bit)

Her car plays all the store bought cd's with good sound in stereo and I would like to end up with the same sound for her ride.

You must burn an Audio CD in order for your audio to play correctly in your CD player. This special kind of CD does not store the audio as files, so there is no need to do this initial conversion. Simply use Express Burn, select the Audio CD option, and then add your mp3 files directly to the project.
