TiredCanuck
I have found a bug in both Switch and SwitchPlus (demo versions). Once either program is started it never stops, even when user tries to kill the application. I know this because even though Task Manager does not show it running, if you try to remove the software from your PC or delete the directory Switch lives in, an error is generated stating that Switch.exe is active. I stumbled across this by trying to figure out why Switch will only convert 1 .wma file to a .wav file properly before producing 1k size files on subsequent conversion attempts. I was interested in purchasing Switch, but not now. Perhaps in the future once this bug is history and the conversions are accurate on every try. Incidently the details on my PC are as follows: PC Type: eMachines T3882 PC with: -Intel Celeron D 335 CPU @ 2.80 GHz -512 MB Ram, 496 MB Ram usable at 2.79 GHz -80 GB Hard Drive -CD/DVD RW Drive -Radeon 9250 Video Card Software Details: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack
Guest nchto
What version of Switch are you using? Does this occur when attempting other file conversions such as MP3 to WAV, or only WMA to WAV. Are the WMA files protected with DRM? Have a read of www.nch.com.au/acm/support.html#WMA. Can you please explain this 1kb bug you are referring to?
