musikone
I wish to connect a number of recorded files end to end to create one long file. Can this be done? How? ================================================================= Yes. Here is a simple and straightforward (albeit tedious) way to do this with WavePad. Open the first two files, which will then appear on a split screen. Place the cursor anywhere on file #1 and press Ctrl-A, which selects the entire file. Then press Ctrl-X, which saves it to the clipboard. Now move the cursor to the beginning of file #2, which is still on the screen. Then press Ctrl-V, which copies the contents of the clipboard to the beginning of file #2. You can see the result of this operation at the top of file #2, which shows the pasted file #1 at the beginning of the _combined_ two files, which are still referred to as file #2, even though this file is now the combined file. Delete the blank file #1 from the screen (it went blank when you pressed Ctrl-X). Now open file #3, which will then appear in a split screen along with the combined file of your previous manipulations. Select the combined file (labeleled as file #2), cut it to the clipboard using Ctrl-X, then paste it to the beginning of file #3, which gives you a new combined file consisting of file #1 + file #2 + file #3, in the proper order. Etc., etc., etc. Repeat this process as many times as required to chain together all of the files that you wish. This whole business is a lot easier to do than to explain. It is very simple in concept :-) Musikone
