rjbossart
Hi. First let me say that switch has been working very well. I've tried a number of other L.A.M.E. front ends, and switch is by far the best. I have two questions: 1. I read in this forum that it was possible to use 3.97 in Switch by just dragging lame 3.97 into the switch folder, but I can't seem to make it work. Can anyone give me the detailed step by step for making Switch use 3.97? 2. Is there any way of inserting the LAME switch "--vbr-new" while using Switch. I have all my CDs burned onto my computer (250 GBs) at 320 bps, and now I'm trying to create an additional library of the same songs for my ipod, and so I want to reduce them down to 96 bps. But as you can imagine, it is VERY slow going trying to convert 750 cds. I have read that the new encoding algorythm is as good or better, and MUCH faster. Again, I'm a neophyte, so if you can give me step by step instructions I would really appreciate it! Thanks for your time and suggestions in advance! rjbossart
Thank you. I've done it without any hitches. Any ideas on how to use the new encoder algorythm "--vbr-new"? Thanks in advance!
