feep Posted January 4, 2007 Share Posted January 4, 2007 I am using Dragon Naturally Speaking 9.0 Preferred. I would like to work in Express Scribe for recognition and editing imported MP3 files recorded on an external device. I only have one user on Dragon, so it has to be the default. In express scribe I have configured naturally speaking as the speech to text engine under options, and I have tried selecting as the Dragon user both a"default" and the actual user name. In both cases, express scribe returns the following message :"Loading of the speaker failed. Please check that a valid speaker is selected" The speaker selected is valid, it is the only user in dragon. Dragon works fine in standalone, for transcription of the same file or for live dictation.
