Express Scribe

Hello. I have the VEC Infinity foot pedal as do my co-workers. All of us have the Express Scribe program. When downloading audio files from a web-based program, the majority of us are required to save the file first and then open it even though we have designated the Express Scribe program as the program for opening .wav files. I have both a laptop and a desktop computer on which the program works perfectly; i.e. when I click audio go, ES opens immediately and loads the file. I have not had any problems with it at all.

 

Also, two of the others, upon uninstalling and reinstalling, have had the accessory Windows Sound Recorder opening even though the file associations folder says "opens with Scribe." It also appears that ES doesn't completely uninstall. Does anyone have any insight into this situation? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
