spabula
Sort of new to this so I am trying to figure this all out. I have Voip service provider ( Sunrocket ) which doesn't release any server info. Can I just use their converter (voip to PSTN) and then use an FXO adapter to convert back to my network for the incoming line? Sounds kind of half @ssed but I need to keep this number and they are giving me a hard time about porting it to Broadvoice. Anyone have any better suggestions? Rayzhome
The incoming line info needed is the same as the info you put into your FXO Adaptor. So "add new external line" Then: Line Name: a name you want to call it Server: this is the url after the @ sign in your SIP account i.e mine is 3011xxxx@sip.voipfone.co.uk so I use "sip.voipfone.co.uk" ID or User Name: this will be your SIP ID i.e. mine would be 3011xxxx Password: your password from your SIP provider Incoming Calls Ring On Extension or Group: which ever extension or group you wish to use. Save & now you have your incoming line. Now set up your FXO adaptor as an extension using the "setup details" against the extension number you wish to use. Hope this helps Ray Hughson (Projects Manager) Bradleys (Blyth) Ltd
