jsimonoff
I found a suggestion for AOL SMTP connection string for another NCH product but it does not work for Express Dictate. I am getting error message "user authentication username or passwordnot accepted". Any suggestions?? I am using "smtp.aol.com:port587:username:password" with an evaluation copy of Express Dictate. Any help would be appreciated.
Guest nchto
Please see our knowledge base article on Problems sending Emails using MAPI and SMTP. The format of the server name is now: username:password@servername:port
jsimonoff
I am trying to help a freind who has purchased the software getit up and running. I am having the same problem with connecting using an evaluation copy. Can you provide a representation of a smtp commection string sample that works? Do you need server authentication? When you say port is that ,port:587 ? I have tried username@aol.com:password@smtp.aol.com,port:587 and it doesn't work???? Help please
Guest nchto
What is your username? is it "username" or "username@aol.com"? If the later then you would use: username@aol.com:password@smtp.aol.com:
