No recording with ION turntable using USB cable to MAC

HI....I run a new MAC with the latest version of Catalina 64 bit OS. I have an ION turntable connected with a USB cable. The MAC recognises hthe turntable and when playing a record, there is sound recognition in the 'Sounds" utility menu. However, the Golden records software does not record any sound even though the USB microphone input is selected from the drop down menu. I have tried using different ports, but without success. Can anyone help, please.

A bit late but I don't think the feature was available in the program. NCH Software is always interested in improving existing programs and developing new programs.
