David77
When invoking VRS software, I get two messages: 1. "VRS Recording System Run". 2. The message in the topic title. I could not find anything about this message (or any(!) error list with explanation) in the documentation. Is there a place where to find an error list with explanations? My computer has the Creative Labs' DI5631 modem and the Creative Labs Ensoniq Sound Blaster AudioPCI. The problem exists even when I connect the phone line through an adapter directly to the sound card's mic input. Any idea? Thanks in advance, David
David77
The problem was partially resolved. When I plugged the direct interface device, connecting the phone line to the sound card's mic input, I was not aware at first that I have to manually also tell the VRS to use the my sound card (under the chanel's setting). After I did that, sensing and recording are just fine. The problem that still remains is why doesn't it want to work with the modem (and I made sure that the Record Device selected is 'Modem #1 Line Record. It is imported for me since I planned using it for the 2nd phone line. Any suggestion is welcome. David
Guest co_nch
Hi David, I am glad you solved the first problem. Have you tried reinstalling the modem and its drivers? Does it work with any other software? I am sorry for delay in this message. If you wish to investigate this further please use the form on VRS' page.
